Demin insulation is made of recycled natural cotton fibers and provides quality sound absorption and thermal performance comparable to tradition insultation. Denim insulation has no “fiberglass itch” and no VOC concerns, which increases workability and protects the user as well as the environment.

RESOURCES
Denim filament is made from an assortment of recycled cotton fibers, including but not necessarily limited to denim. This product contains boric acid flame retardant, ammonium sulfate fungicide, and additional binder fiber. There is no fiberglass, asbestos, or formaldehyde in Demin insulation, unlike conventional insulation products.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Envir boric acid and ammonium sulfate are both low acidity chemcials. Boric acid is safe and naturally occurring. The FDA has determined ammonium sulfate to be harmless if consumed, and us typically found in food products as a firming agent in dough, and has an impact.

HUMAN HEALTH
Denim insulation has no VOC concerns; this makes interior environments protected from harmful off-gassing, typically caused by VOCs. The install team is also protected from handling fiberglass, which typically causes skin discomfort and requires special tools.
