ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Smith & Fong upcycles woof from palm trees that are no longer of use to the fruit industry.
HUMAN HEALTH
The product is manufactured with no added formaldehyde and is bonded using Soybond, a soy-based, formaldehyde-free resin. Durapalm has a Class B fire rating.
SOCIAL EQUITY
90% of all palm plantations in the Asia-Pacific are under the control of small farmers. Smith & Fong have visited sites of natural disasters and spoken on the use of bamboo in post-disaster scenarios, and as a sustainable alternative to traditional forestry.
