New Leaf paper sells environmentally-friendly coated, uncoated and office papers and has developed sustainable papers that are made of 100% recycled fiber. Applicable to printers, designers, businesses and other organizations, paper must be ordered through New Leaf and can then be shipped to any location in the US. New Leaf Encore 100 copy paper is available for purchase at FedEx Kinko’s.
RESOURCES
New Leaf Paper sells only certified sustainable papers and works with fifteen to twenty mills globally. It selects mills through a rigorous evaluation process. All papers are recyclable.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
New Leaf Paper contains a high amount, from 50-100% of recycled fiber in their paper, with 30-100% of that PCR content. New leaf uses 80% less water than virgin wood fiber paper. The company uses mill pool trucks, less-than-truckload carriers, and a warehouse delivery network to make its deliveries more efficient.
HUMAN HEALTH
Information on manufacturing, including VOC emissions, carcinogens, and pollutants, was not provided. All paper is acid-free and processed either Chlorine-Free or Elemental Chlorine Free. There are no known hazards associated with the use of New Leaf products.
SOCIAL EQUITY
New Leaf Papers employs 20-30 employees, who are provided with 401k plans with Calvary, a socially responsible investment group. New Leaf has no public CSR policy.
