Bio-glitter is a Vincotte certified biodegradable alternative to PET glitters. Bio-glitter is suitable for cosmetic use in dry, water and oil-based applications.

RESOURCES
Bio-glitter is created from the cellulose of FSC certified, non-GMO eucalyptus trees. The trees are cultivated in Europe, and the cellulose is processed in the UK.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
PET glitter easily enters waterways where marine animals consume it and suffer health problems. Bio-glitter biodegrades in aquatic, anaerobic, industrial or home composting conditions, so it is unlikely to persist in the environment. It is a hexagonal shape, which creates a seamless tiling pattern. This prevents material from being wasted.

HUMAN HEALTH
Bio-glitter is antimony free and made without GMOs. It is manufactured in Europe, and meets European safety certifications for use in cosmetics and children’s toys. Some colors are also FDA certified for use in cosmetics.

SOCIAL EQUITY
Bio-glitter was developed to address the environmental hazards of cosmetic microbeads. It is a product of Ronald Britton Ltd, a British company established in 1945.
