ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Seaman Paper believes in responsible fiber sourcing; all their wood fibers are sourced from certified forests. The company works on several energy and emissions initiatives, including solar energy, LED program, electrical cogeneration, thermal fuel substitution, and its Landfill Gas Project. They are making an effort on water stewardship, recycling around 28% of their wastewater, which reduces freshwater demand by 131 million gallons per year. Seman Paper also prioritizes paper recycling, averaging 2,721 tons of paper recycled in 2023. They also collect cores, plugs, headers, and other reusable materials at their converting plants and return them to the paper mills for reuse. Seaman Papers’ certifications include FSC, Sustainable Forestry Initiative, PEFC, and FSSC.

SOCIAL EQUITY
Seaman Paper has provided financial donations in support of diverse community initiatives – youth sports programs, scholarship programs, support for the disadvantaged, and many others.
