Perma/Cor is a sturdy and lightweight corrugated board. Perma/Cor is available at 1/8 and 1/4 inch thicknesses and is suitable for archival use.
RESOURCES
Perma/Cor is made from bleached virgin plant fibers. They are processed to be lignin and acid-free. Calcium carbonate is added to act as a bugger that resists pH change. Lineco’s materials are sourced from the United States.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Perma/Cor is made from virgin fibers sourced from sustainably managed mills. Calcium carbonate is abundant, but may be mined with destructive practices. Perma/Cor is extremely lightweight, which lowers emissions impact during its transportation. Perma/Cor will break down naturally if disposed of, unlike foamcore.
HUMAN HEALTH
Perma/Cor is not expected to have any negative impacts on human health. University Products, the parent company to Lineco, has had no workplace accidents in the past five years (as of 2017).
SOCIAL EQUITY
Lineco is a small family owned business with 85% of Lineco products manufactured in Massachusetts. Lineco’s parent company University Products, located in Adams, MA, provides donations to regional educational and philanthropic organizations, and provides significant benefits. Employees are 30% minority and 50% female.
