Recycled HDPE plastic obtained from qualified partners and verified as originating in the At-Risk Zone of entering oceans that allows the end consumer to trace a product’s journey all the way back to the source.

RESOURCES
The material used to make OceanBound plastic comes from within 50km of waterways and coastlines in areas that lack formal community-based recycling collection. These are called “At-Risk Zones”-areas in which waste is most likely to become ocean pollution.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
OceanBound plastic is a fully recyclable material. Since it is an HDPE plastic, any product or packaging made with OceanBound can be recycled in the same channels and processes as any HDPE product, which is most municipal recycling streams.

HUMAN HEALTH
Envision Plastics has an FDA Non-Objection Letter (NOL) specific to OceanBound material, NOL #219, so Envision Plastics’ OceanBound EcoPrime® can be used in direct food contact.
