Innovatice hardwood flooring made with recycled and renewable materials. a wood-based click floor that can be reused, is locally produced and where the raw wood comes from FSC-certified forests.
RESOURCES
The raw wood used to make Woodura planks comes from local FSC-certified forests. Woodura planks have a circular lifestyle, where old planks can serve as core material for new production.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Woodura planks are produced locally, with manufacturing factories located as close to forests as possible to minimize carbon dioxide emissions from transportation. Log transport is kept under 100km. Most of the energy used to dry the timber is bioenergy, sourced from the process of burning the bark from the logs. For products with hardwood surface layers, they are manufactured so that large amounts of flooring are produced from one log, and the flooring lasts for a long time. Woodura technology opts for knife cutting instead of sawing to maximize material and minimize waste. As a result, the surface layers are 0.6mm thick, meaning 10 times more flooring is manufactured from a single log compared to traditional parquet flooring.
HUMAN HEALTH
Since Woodura planks are click-joint planks, the installation does not require additional adhesives or chemicals.
