Combat paper is a project, which provides a space and resources for veterans to use the transformative process of papermaking to reclaimed their uniforms as art and express their experiences with the military.

RESOURCES
Based in San Francisco, CA, with affiliate paper mills in New Jersey. New York and Nevada, Combat paper utilizes used military uniforms, which are cut up, beaten into a pulp, and formed into sheets of paper.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
The material that becomes Combat Paper is recycled from used military uniforms. The project conducts workshops around the country, oftentimes with veterans who use either an old uniform or a donated one.

HUMAN HEALTH
Using the process of papermaking, the veterans reclaim their uniforms as art and express their experiences with the military. Combat Paper is an outlet for veterans who have been affected by the disasters of war.

SOCIAL EQUITY
Combat Paper is made possible through the collaborative effort of artists, veterans, volunteers, colleges and universities, art collectors, cultural foundations, art spaces, military hospitals, and installations. Additionally, they have demonstrations and exhibits open to the public.
