CMate (Climate-Mate) is a weather app that helps you prepare for your day based on your health concerns.

Like your mother who will remind you to bring an umbrella before you leave your house because it’s going to rain, CMate is a friend who will generate personalised tips on how you can best adapt to the weather for the day based on your current location, the
climate and your health profile.

Through it’s cheerful design, including it's golden retriever mascot named Clyde, CMate aims to be friendly accessible, inclusive and open to users of all ages and backgrounds. It makes a mundane thing such as the weather forecast much more fun and useful for users.
The weather has become more unpredictable due to climate change, so using a weather app to prepare for the day is critical. CMate considers your health concerns to develop daily weather tips, especially for you, so you don’t have to think twice about what to wear or look out for.
Unlike regular weather apps that may just display lots of data and statistics, CMate is user-focused and convenient.

The app automatically generates a list of tips and reminders for the day (specific to you), without the struggle of trying to understand what a certain weather statistic actually means.

Rather than just displaying numbers, CMate informs you what the data means and how it is relevant to you so the user is able to get a better understanding of the changing climate and how it personally affects them.
Alongside the daily weather tips that CMate generates based on your health profile, CMate also has educational features to help users learn more about the weather and our climate. Rather than just stating a number or fact, users can learn more about each weather factor.
CMate’s home screen widget helps to remind and inform users about how to best adapt to the current climate situation depending on the time and location without having to open up the app. The widget lives on the home screens of each user and will display tips on how to adapt to the current weather, alongside fun illustrations.

This slide displays a series of interfaces of various users that might have different health concerns and are in different climates. Based on the user's location and health profile, CMate's interface will display different animations and graphics. Users can also customize which weather and climate widgets they would like to see in the app.
