Made from up-cycled rice hulls and applicable to a variety of uses – from house siding to furniture.
RESOURCES
ACRE is made in a zero-waste U.S. facility from up-cycled rice hulls, a byproduct of rice milling. It is tree-free, PVC-based, and free of phthalates, phenol, formaldehyde, and adhesives. Sourced from local farms, the rice hulls are processed in Fernwood, Mississippi, reducing waste and transportation impact.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
ACRE contains PVC, which poses risks if burned, but is 100% recyclable. Made through zero-waste processes, it uses closed-loop systems to recycle materials and water. Consumers can return scraps and shavings for reuse in new products—contact ACRE for recycling details.
HUMAN HEALTH
PVC production poses health risks due to vinyl chloride, a known carcinogen. However, ACRE emits no VOCs.
SOCIAL EQUITY
Creates new revenue streams for local rice farmers and invests in workforce development by partnering with Southwest Mississippi Community College to provide job training and education, supporting the area’s manufacturing resurgence.
