Acoufelt’s Premier and WoodGrain product (FilaSorb™ polyester felt) is made from regenerated PET fibers with a minimum of 60% recycled content.
RESOURCES
Acoufelt products are made from regenerated PET fibers with a minimum of 60% recycled content. The fibers are made from recycled plastic beverage bottles diverted from landfills. Every square foot of their FilaSorb felt contains the regenerated fibers made from over 10 20oz recycled bottles that would normally go to landfills, creating a closed loop on a valuable resource.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
The manufacturing processes used to create Acoufelt products meet the international standards of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001. Factories are also equipped with solar panels, meaning that the acoustic products are made with 30-40% onsite renewables.
HUMAN HEALTH
Acoufelt QuietBackTM carpet tiles and FilaSorbTM collections have both received from Declare “LBC Red List Free” declaration status – having disclosed 100% of product ingredients at or above 100 ppm (0.01%) in the final product and not containing any Red List chemicals. Other certifications for Acoufelt include LEED, SCS, and CRI: GreenLabel.
