RESOURCES
Eco-Gres tiles are made in Italy from 30-50% recycled porcelain content. The tiles are packed and shipped in large quantities to minimize carbon footprint. Shipping by water emits a 6th of the CO2 from a truck.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
The factory reduces pollution output and water usage with a closed-loop water system. Tiles are made of natural materials and are reusable for over 40 years. Coverings Etc has plans to rely more on recycled papers and renewable energy. An environmental dedication policy is available on their website.
HUMAN HEALTH
Porcelain is a natural material which emits no VOCs in production or use. The tiles are unglazed and require no chemical sealants in installation.
