Limited Papers is a Brooklyn paper distributor that offers a broad selection of paper products that can be purchased in small quantities. Products can be ordered for delievery or picked up in person at their warehouse in Industry City.
RESOURCES
The Paper Selector indicates recycled content under “special characteristics.” Some brands with high recycled content include Mohawk, Neenah, and French Paper Co. Acid free papers typically contain chalk as a filler and buffer, and are suitable for archival purposes. Some papers are made with cotton.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
High brightness and speciality papers (metallic, translucent) require more chemical processing than those with a natural/unbleached color. Cotton paper requires more water and pesticides to produce than wood-based paper. By allowing small purchases and accurate paper selection, Limited Papers prevents overbuying and waste.
HUMAN HEALTH
Bleaching paper with chlorine produces toxic dioxins which persist in the environment and can cause cancer, development and hormonal problems. Choose papers that are chlorine-free when possible. While Limited Papers does not identify chlorine use, the information may be available on manufacturer websites.
